About this page
Every part is generated in code from dimensions and profiles: no model files. Module notes carry their sources at the foot. The diaphragm's motion is drawn far larger than life so it can be seen: a real dome moves a fraction of a millimetre.
What you hear is the microphone's output: the pad, the low-cut, +48 V and the singer's distance all act on the voice, and past +15 dB of bass lift the desk's gain comes down by the excess, so close up the voice gets bassier rather than louder and nothing overloads. The proximity curve is the pressure-gradient near-field term for an ideal pattern; real microphones differ by design.
